Rev. Tommy Croom, III
Pastor
New Hope Missionary Baptist Church
Rev. Tommy Croom has been preaching Gods word since the age of twenty-five and he has 17 years of experience Pastoring. He received his Christian education at the Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College and his secular education at Kaplan University School of Business. He is married to the love of his life, Cynthia Croom, who has allowed him to follow his dreams and has supported him in each direction God has taken them. He is the father of six children and six grandchildren, and they fill his life with joy and love.
Pastor Croom credits his success in life to his mother Mrs. Rita Hunt who taught him that sometimes you must put the needs of others above your own and stand up for those who can't stand for themselves. His grandparents also taught him the values of hard work. He credits most of his success in ministry to his previous Pastor/Mentor, the late Dr. Walter Sims, who taught him how to treat Gods people with love and respect.
Pastor Croom believes that if there is going to be a change in our communities, and in this world, it must start in the church. As Christians we must live our lives according to God's Word and be the examples that Jesus has called us to be. We are not called to be perfect people but saved people.
